More about Facebook

Well, I guess I got so carried away badmouthing facebook in my last blog that I forgot to talk about the difficulty level associated with it. that's the whole purpose of these blogs, right? Creating a Facebook account is extremely easy, as long as you have a working email address. The entire thing takes less than 5 minutes, although if you continue to use facebook, there is a sizeable risk that you will waste much of your valuable time on it, so be careful. facebook is a very easy, very tempting way to procrastinate. Haha there I go again. But really, be careful. :P

Also, making friends on this website is also very simple, given that you actually have friends in real life (although even if you dont, there is always the possibility of finding random people to friend who are also into networking). But if you know the person's full name, or their email address, it is extremely simple to find and befriend them.

Facebook

Today i would like to blog about Facebook. I started my Facebook account almost one year ago, and for a while, I fell into the trap it sets for teenagers. For the first week, I believe I was on it every day for about 2 hours. At this time I was completely convinced that Facebook was the greatest invention of the 21st century. Now, however, I don't usually go on my facebook very often at all, unless I need to set up something with my friends, and have no other way of getting a hold of them. Don't get me wrong, facebook can be useful for online networking, if you're into that sort of thing. Personally, I prefer to make my friends in real life situations. I really don't mean to badmouth facebook, but when you create an online profile for yourself online, you have to realize that you are sharing personal information with a lot of people, that don't necessarily need to know it. It is very common for a young teenager, especially a girl, to be so generous with his/her personal information, that he/she endangers his/herself. I have had several friends that have gotten into a lot of trouble by doing this. Facebook is not always a bad thing, but people, especially young adults, need to exercise more caution when using it.

RSS feed

Setting up an RSS feed to my google account was just about the easiest thing I've done in a while.
Using Skype was a lot of fun, and when I have more time, I look forward to downloading it to my own computer, and using it to talk to friends and relatives that I rarely get to see in person.
